The Timer is a useful event if you want to run a procedure at a fixed time interval, such as re-querying the report so the data is not stale due to the actions of other users:

Once the RoboLab firmware is installed on your NXT brick, you will not be able to use NXT-G programs on the NXT brick until you reinstall the NXT-G firmware on that brick. Again, only one type of firmware can be on the NXT brick at one time, either RoboLab or NXT-G.
